Following their success at Clerkenwell Design Week this May, Bark Furniture, the Cornwall based furniture designer-makers, will exhibit for the first time at 100% Design this month.
At 100% Design Bark Furniture will launch their new Acorn II Seating range. The Acorn II Seating range consists of a leather upholstered dining chair and a dining bench in Black Walnut. Additionally they will present for the first time their much-loved Kustom armchair newly upholstered in black leather that completely transforms the feel of the piece. These beautifully crafted items reflect Bark Furniture’s commitment to high quality production and attention to detail at every level of the design process.
In addition to these new items, Bark Furniture will present a selection of pieces from their Acorn and Beacon collections as well as the rest of the Kustom design range, which they launched earlier this year at Clerkenwell Design Week. The pieces on display at 100% Design will include chairs, sofas, dining tables, coffee tables, side tables and a mirror as well as their accessories range of lamps, candlesticks and cushions made in the bespoke motif fabric found on much of their furniture.
All of Bark Furnitureʼs products are handmade from sustainable woods from their studio in Bude, North Cornwall. Their presence at 100% Design is testament to the acclaim they have received for the strong and timeless midcentury modern aesthetic in their British-made furniture, accessories and textiles.
Lakshmi Bhaskaran comments, “We are extremely excited to be exhibiting at 100% Design for the first time this year. This is the ideal environment for us to be able to meet and show our work to key contacts in the design world as well as within trade and of course to the public. It is such a respected show with a long history in the design industry that we are pleased to be promoting British design and manufacture here.”
