CDM Creates A New Innovative Design Project – SJA III Cabana is the name of the latest architecture project from the Mexican architecture firm, CDM. Its stunning modern design combined with an incredible swimming pool that is effortlessly involved in the natural surroundings gives the full contemporary look to what looks like a simple yet dreamy beach house.
Having a beach house with amazing views to the ocean and the beautiful landscapes it’s the dream for most of the persons. This design project, the SJA III cabana, it fits in with the natural landscape like it was supposed to be there! Nestled into a rocky hillside in the town of San Juan de Alima, on the western coast of Mexico, the cabana and the swimming pool are meant to feel integrated into this incredible place, which is blanketed with vegetation, and slopes down toward a beach and the sea. To succeed in this architectural project, the designers’ team were inspired by the minimalistic style and manage to achieve clean shapes and sharp accents.
Like most of the beach cabanas, wood features prominently throughout the design of this amazing structure and in this case, it’s the caramel-toned wood that works its way around the ceiling and walls. This incredible material provides a visual warmth to the interior decor. Besides the natural wood, CDM also incorporated natural stones which goes really well with the natural and minimalistic style.
The interior spaces are composed of luxury furniture made out of, once again, natural wood. On the exquisite chairs and sofas, ivory-colored cushions are combined with accent pillows in grey and gold to deliver a really soothing and glamorous aesthetic. A nautical-themed chandelier providing the finishing touch to this incredible design project. This vacation home is beautiful and unique but also comfortable and restrained in nature, making it the perfect place to spend a luxurious vacation.

Stepping out of the cabana, the impressive natural design just keeps on going. The pathway that leads down to the swimming pool, that has been. At the end of this path, an infinity swimming pool, built into a rocky outcrop and covered in vegetation, has a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. Seems like a perfect way to watch the beautiful sunset on the beach!
