Austin Residence
Towering above Austin in one of the city’s tallest buildings, 3,900 Sq-Ft space was a literal blank canvas of white walls, concrete floors, boxy rooms and very little character. The designer knocked down walls and created an expansive living area, floored in a cooling combination of different stones laid in a geometric pattern that became a seamless extension of the outside views.
Perforated brass doors lead to a vertiginous fireplace wall of Negro Marquina Marble that anchors the living room and features an abstract John Williams painting that provided the starting point for the decoration: custom velvet and lambskin sofas, geometric hand-painted wallcovering and marble and brass tables. Mixed metals, leather, silk, parchment and other handicrafted elements add luxurious detail and sumptuous texture to the artistic and avant-garde aesthetic that resonates throughout this colorful and expressive home.
Tribeca Loft
For this 4,000 Sq. Ft. Triplex loft in Tribeca kelly creates her signature mix of raw and refined details.

The residence pays homage to art beginning with the owner’s existing prestigious art collection to the handpainted custom wallcoverings and meticulously laid out abstract, asymmetrical marble slab floors.
Sea Beach Residence
Kelly Wearstler defined a natural and organic palette of sandstones, shell pinks, rusts, and moonstone grays to help shape an imaginative modernist dialogue with the sea in the redesign of this four-level South California coastal escape owned by an a-list actress.
Marine metaphors sophisticatedly punctuate the design, with vintage 1960s Italian mohair armchairs representing birds on the sand and chrysanthemum root from Hong Kong the home’s elegant “driftwood”. A two story, 17-foot carved ceramic fireplace by local artist Stan Bitters commands the living room which like the rest of the house, is layered in warm, honey-colored wood paneling that evokes a sense of being on a classic sailing yacht.
