Every week, Best Design Projects would like to share the best exclusive interviews around US to inspire our readers with the best interior design projects!
Today we will show you the company 2Michaels LLC that is a New York City based Interior Design firm founded by sisters Jayne and Joan Michaels.
Take look in their inspirations:
“All of our projects start with a concept. We spend a lot of time researching, usually by going to museums, art galleries, watching films, pouring over books, magazines and internet sites. We challenge each other with ideas and inspirations. It’s dynamic and free flowing.. Sometimes the concept comes right away and sometimes not.. We both know when we’ve hit upon something.. It’s incredibly exciting.” – Jayne
In collaboration with Flank Architects 2012:

Our style is “undecorated”, artful, relaxed, comfortable and rather spare. Water and nature inspires us.”
“Photography is a passion. We collect photography and have recently begun to photograph ourselves. Instagram is a great vehicle for that passio!”
For a young family of 4. We reconfigured rooms and added bookshelves and a fireplace while keeping the pre-war feel.
“Our clients wanted a bedroom that wasn’t “match- matchy”.. We found different side tables, lamps, the desk is Swedish 1940’s, chair is by Nakashima.
We found the art at auction.”
