Jonathan Adler is a potter, designer, and author whose design inspirations have mainly come from the art and global pop culture. Adler first started giving his steps into the world of design, by launching his first ceramic collection in 1993 at Barneys New York. Five years later he expanded into home furnishings, opening his first namesake boutique in Manhattan. Now he has 26 stores worldwide, an e-commerce site, and wholesale business with over 1,000 locations worldwide.

Maison et Objet – “Designer Of The Year”

With every new edition, Maison Et Objet puts six promising young design talents under the spotlight and gives the famous Designer of the Year. For the September edition, Maison et Objet organization team choose Laura Gonzalez as the designer of the Year for Fall. The 37-year-old designer, who trained at the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture. Describing her personal style as “classical with a quirky twist” , she likes to mix fabrics, materials, and design inspirations to create a special, eclectic blend.
