With its name ‘il duca’, which translated means ‘the duke’, it keep the luxurious style in all of the 132 hotel’s rooms including 32 ‘chic suites’. Two suites, situated on the first floor, called a ‘personality suite’ and ‘suite ME’ impress with their 100 square meter private terrace overlooking to Piazza della Repubblica. Moreover, the walls of the hotel are covered with art works of famous photographer Alberto van Stokkum. The future ambitions are to extend the collection of artworks with two more parties, who will also curate their exclusive collections to be shown in ‘Il duca’.
Originally designed by Aldo Rossi, afterwards it also was fitted by Mortini’s design studio. A precious job they did was creating a modern and elegant space with infusion of innovative style. The pale and natural color furniture, appropriate lightning, extraordinary forms of furniture and details create just what the hotel in the capital of fashion needs.
With a surprising success of their impressive rooftop in their first hotel in Milan, ME was eager to repeat their triumph. The second radio rooftop bar was opened in the top of ‘Il duca’ with breath-taking panoramic views of the Milanese skyline. Nevertheless, two restaurants make the hotel’s experience even more appealing. The first Italian branch from contemporary restaurant STK was established here favoring the customers with its international diner menu. And for those who missing Italian food there is Alfresco restaurant ‘Il giardino del duca’ providing an all-day dining menu for pleasing your taste buds.
