Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Swiss Alps, 1,447 meters above sea level, the exclusive The Chedi Andermatt delights everyone with its incredible rooms and suites, its outstanding restaurants and bars, a modern Health Club and an exceptional spa area. Named Hotel of the Year 2017 by the renowned restaurant guide GaultMillau, this hotel offers a glimpse of another world and views of an unforgettable piece of Switzerland. Lifestyle at The Chedi Andermatt is the result of the successful mix of tradition and nature that is expressed in the resolute use of materials from the region. Star architect Jean-Michel Gathy designed the property, combining the local Alpine traditions of hospitality chic with Asian charm and features to create an interior design that oozes warmth and openness, an intimacy that is underlined by repeated design elements.
The 123 exclusive rooms and suites take visitors on a journey as they are spirited away to an Alpine/Asian world by the look of dark wood, soft leather sofas and gentle colours. All rooms and suites are at least 52 square meters in size with large picture windows looking out over the unique mountain landscape. Murals, inspired in part by the seventeenth-century European master of the art Peter Paul Rubens, and wood panelling with sunk-in bronze lamps behind the bed are unique focal points, as are the sumptuously comfortable and exclusive Hästens beds. The luxurious bathrooms inspired by Asian architecture are also a great highlight in the rooms. Large bathtubs, heated natural stone floors and separate rain showers seduce guests to enjoy moments of sensuousness and relaxation, enveloped in the fine fragrance of the hotel, pampered with the top-flight products from Acqua di Parma and gentle background music.
