Interior designer Chu Chih-Kang has won more than 10 design awards, including the German Design Award and the Iconic Awards, issued by the German Design Council. Chu Chih-Kang believes that when the nature of space and the owners’ expectations are understood, the issues surrounding space application are resolved and ornate decoration is replaced by simple materials. His amazing design projects are marked by Chinese cultural elements.
Some people say that Chu Chih-Kang’s works are reference new modern eastern design. Chu Chih-Kang comes from Taiwan and has been exposed to rich culture since his childhood. Chinese cultural elements, which are not superficial but with deep cultural connotation, could always be found in his design. From 2007 to 2011, the renowned interior designer worked Design Director of Chu Chih-Kang Design studio, Taipei/Taiwan, and currently, the renowned interior designer is Director of Chu Chih-Kang Space Design Co., Ltd, Kaohsiung/Taiwan and Design Director of Chu Chih-Kang Space Design Co., Ltd, Shenzhen/China, at the same the time. His works have been recognized with several design awards such as AD100 China topped the most influential buildings, German iF Design Awards, Germany ICONIC AWARDS – Best of Best, among others.
