The Musket Room restaurant is one of the hottest places to eat in downtown Manhattan, thanks to its incredible interiors designed by the renowned Alexander Waterworth Interiors studio. Their signature style consists of combining incredible aesthetics with comfort and functionality so that the clients’ needs are completely satisfied. Alexander Waterworth Interiors studio was founded by Alexander Evangelou, an interior designer that graduated in product design from Middlesex University in 2004. “After learning of the processes and creative range one has, I was intrigued & mesmerized. I found myself drawn to furniture design and based my final year project around this, exhibiting at New Designers”, explained the interior designer to the Evening Standard news. The design studio was recognized with multiple design awards including a UK Restaurant & Bar Design Award and the American Hospitality Design Award for The Musket Room in New York.

Inspired by chef Matt Lambert’s home country (New Zeland) and its history, the design team from Alexander Waterworth Interiors wanted to create a welcoming and elegant interior space that captures the essence of the New Zeland culture. They combined incredible raw materials with the historic brick walls and rich walnut timber to create the contemporary design of this inspiring restaurant project. All of these nature-related elements were enhanced by incredible mid-century furnishings, brass lighting designs and deep indigo leather upholstered seats, marrying the best of both worlds in one place, New York’s Musket Room.
