1. San Giorgio Mykonos – A Design Hotels™ Project
Masterminded by Design Hotels™, the company that holds a curated selection of over 260 independent hotels across the world, San Giorgio Mykonos is a stunning 34-room hotel with a decoration inspired in the 60’s bohemian and gipsy life.
White walls, wood furniture, tapestries with greek patterns, traditional Greek woven top stools, weight cotton matelassé quilts, silver details, pool with an enviable view … this charming hotel combines history, heritage, style, and simplicity with an amazing interior design project idealized by Annabellkutucu.
2. Matt Damon’s Incredible House in Pacific Palisades
One of our most-read articles in 2014 was the $15 Millions estate designed by Grant Kirkpatrick Architects. The mansion is owned by the famous actor Matt Damon and is located in the fantastic area of Pacific Palisades where is included 6 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a garage with space for 5 cars and a pair of maid’s room.
The luxury house combines California modernism with traditional Spanish Colonial design.
3. The Glass Pavilion: Cutting-Edge House by Steve Hermann
With the help of the architect Steve Hermann, Santa Barbara’s area become even beautier with this Glass Pavilion project.
The luxury home’s project was built all in glass where the areas of the space can be visible providing amazing views to a lovely and well treated garden.
The 13.875 square foot “pavilion” has five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, a kitchen with an exquisite wine room, and a superb art gallery exhibiting the architect’s vintage car collection. The area is so huge that has the capability of storing up to 32 cars inside its walnut lined walls.
4. Numptia: A Luxury Superyacht Interior Design
Numptia is a superyacht with a stunning interior design layout conceived by design studio Salvagni Architetti.
The interior design décor is marked by a smooth palette colors, an exquisite choice of artefacts, sculptures, ornaments, lighting and distinctive pieces of furniture. Cashmere, cottons silks and velvets from the Loro Piana collection was the starting point to create an atmosphere of pure comfort.
5. Manhattan Micro-Loft Design
Manhattan Micro-Loft represents one of the biggest challenges that the Specht Harpman Architects faced successfully.
Located at the top of a brownstone on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, this tiny apartment occupied an area of 425 square feet and vertically 25 feet with access to a rooftop. When rearranged, the place didn’t even have space for place a bed or a couch.
The companies resolution passed through the creation of four separate “living platforms”.
6. Hyper Luxury Design Suite in Hotel Infante Sagres
Hotel Infante Sagres is a small luxury hotel located in the heart of Porto, the Portuguese city that this year has won the award of European Best Destination 2014.
One of the suite’s hotel has been refurbished with a hyper-luxury furniture designed by Boca do Lobo, a Portuguese brand renowned for its unique and handcrafted design.
