Boca do Lobo Presents Newton Family Of Contemporary Furniture – Always seeking to inspire the world with exclusive and contemporary furniture, Boca do Lobo manages to use traditional craftsmanship techniques while adding innovative twists to its pieces. Today, Best Design Projects will talk about one of the most original collections of the Portuguese luxury brand, the Newton Family. This stunning collection was inspired by Sir Isaac Newton’s seminal discovery of the law of gravity. The designs are composed of gleaming spheres and semi spheres amassed one on top of the other, held together by gravity itself. The result is an arresting ode to art and science, with the spherical components looking like modular parts of a molecular diagram writ large. This rightfully puts Boca do Lobo at the forefront of harnessing new techniques and concepts. Now, let’s meet the characteristics of each piece of the Newton Family.

Newton Dining Table

The dining table is made of black lacquer brass spheres with high gloss varnish finishing and some gold plated spheres on the base. The top of the table is composed of brass circles carved with a golden texture similar to a wood texture.

This piece is also available in gold plated brass spheres finished with high gloss varnish on the base and a top made by an amazing myrtle burl veneer, finished with a high gloss varnish.

Newton Suspension Lamp

Newton Lamp is a monumental piece which authenticates Boca do Lobo designers and artisans’ work.

Newton Bathtub

The bathtub is completed with black lacquer brass spheres, finished in high gloss varnish. Its base also showcases a series of gold plated spheres.

Newton Chandelier

The exclusive Newton chandelier is a unique handcrafted piece that reflects the best of Portuguese metalwork.
