The designers at smallna were influenced by the reversible nature of Risk. Made in Warsaw’s clothing range, in which items can be worn inside-out or back-to-front, to create the illusion of defying gravity.

 

Coach Flagship Store by OMA, Tokyo

 

For the Coach flagship store in Omotesando, Tokyo, OMA designed a façade of interlocking acrylic display units with a logic that translates to the interior. For the façade, each display unit measures 1800mm by 520mm and is stacked horizontally and vertically in a herringbone pattern. The units frame individual items like bags, busts or mannequins, making each appear precious.

Designers decided to use a very well known raw material – paperboard. Only this time it was rolled into tubes. Over 900 of paper tubes, wrapped with ratchet-straps around cabinets built from raw OSB wood panels.
