Eric Cohler is known for a highly intuitive approach that is both cerebral and sensuous. He is nominated by Elle Decor as one of TOP 25 interior designers of the United States of America, also included in House Beautiful‘s America‘s TOP 100 Interior Designers. His mix of classical and contemporary styles – enhanced by jolts of unexpected color and pattern – results in interiors that are elegant, warmly welcoming and the epitome of comfort. Cohler’s works have a keen sense of history yet he has a Masters Degree in Historic Preservation in Columbia University School of Architecture and a certificate in design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. For a Holiday House Show house in New York, Cohler with his sister, Jennifer Mason, created a glamorous dining room with Mother’s Day in mind. His Lee Jofa “Tyler Crewel“ fabric was selected by Obama family for the White House Family Dining Room.
His interior spaces display unusual texture, colour and verve. In cases of luxurious environments, he often provides a dramatic backdrop to timeless architecture, emphasizing the room’s paneling and moldings.
The book “Cohler on Design“ will be published still this fall and will reveal even more magic of this designer…
