ESPASSO is a company from the US specialized in Brazilian contemporary and modern design. It aims to conserve Brazil’s 20^th century design heritage and promote the work of Brazilians most famous designers of today.

Now, this US based company announced that they will open a dedicated two floors showroom in the UK, which will be located at 19 Greek Street, Soho, London.  In this new showroom, they will present exquisite design pieces from Sergio Rodrigues, Jorge Zalszupin, Carlos Motta, Etel Carmona, among others and there’ll also be re-editions of pieces by Branco & Preto. It will open on 13 September 2012, a date will coincide with UK’s design calendar, where ESPASSO will present a series of talks and events.

Carlos Junqueira, founder of ESPASSO, says of the launch in the UK, “We are very excited to open a London showroom, which will allow us the opportunity to show our collection to a broader audience, as well as more convenient access to the works of our designers for our existing clientele based abroad. Collaborating with 19 Greek Street was a natural fit for us, and we are looking forward to bringing the best of Brazilian design, past and present, to London”

ESPASSO currently only has showrooms in the US (NY and LA), so this opening in the UK demonstrates the growing importance of the Brazilian design on an international level.
