For the past thirty years, Philippe Starck has been designing hotels all over the world, including the Royalton in New York and the luxury hotels Hôtel Meurice and the Royal Monceau. Heralding the phenomena of convergence and dematerialization, Philippe Starck aims straight for the heart, highlighting the essential, extracting the structural minimum of every object, in order to offer creations and propositions closest to Man and Nature, best adapted to the future. He believes that sincere, modern elegance comes from the multiplication of an object, as opposed to the ideology of limited editions, where premeditation on rarity leads to a selection through money rather than necessity.
Using clean lines, neutral tones and opulent touches, Kelly Hoppen transforms the interior design of any hotel in such a beautiful place that it suddenly becomes one’s private world, surrounded by the bluest of skies and the whitest of sands, such as The Murmuri in Barcelona. Whenever is possible, a good idea is to take profit from the outside surroundings, to let the sunshine in and make your personal room a true sanctuary, in which you can fully recharge and relax.

If you look at Peter Marino‘s interior design projects in terms of hotels, you will see a true redefinition of modern luxury, emphasizing materiality, texture, scale, light and the constant dialogue between interior and exterior. The starting point for all Peter Marino‘s work that can be an inspiration for you is combining the interior design and architecture with the art. It is the ability to artfully juxtapose different styles and eras with such elegance that the ambiance becomes unforgettable for those who live in it or only pass by.
Born into a family of architects in Dublin, March 1955, young David Collins early seemed to show an interest in everything connected to light and design. Pursuing an architectural degree at the Bolton Street School of Architecture, Collins decided to change his path and, upon finishing his bachelor’s degree, he decided to proceed with his professional life by becoming an interior designer. From there, he decided to move to London, where he had the chance to redecorate a friend’s house. This project would become the early stage of the creation of his own firm, the David Collins Studio. This came to be in 1985 when the studio was mainly “specialising in small interior architectural jobs”. However, Collins and his partner, Iain Watson, quickly had to start innovating and changing their creative vision. This particular vision, nonetheless, was very clear to them: “projects that are a sophisticated counterpoint between aesthetics and rationale”.
Rockwell Group – David Rockwell (born 1956) is an American architect and designer. He is the founder and President of Rockwell Group, a 250-person award-winning, cross-disciplinary architecture and design practice based in New York City with satellite offices in Madrid and Shanghai. David grew up in the theater—his mother, a vaudeville dancer, and choreographer, often cast him in community repertory productions. But when he was 12, David’s family had a dramatic scene change, moving from Deal, New Jersey to Guadalajara, Mexico. There he discovered a whole new world of vibrant marketplaces, street life, and public spaces. After training in architecture at Syracuse University and the Architectural Association in London, David brought his passion for theater and artistic eye for the color and spectacle of Mexico to his profession.
