Sweden is known for its distinctive, simplistic but yet specific style. In order to this, two architects Mats Fahlander and Agneta Pettersson adjusted the unique style to the two Michelin star restaurant which is situated by the waterfront of Djurgarden – an island branched off the center of Stockholm. The design unites a deep-rooted industrial style which is connected with modernity. The idea of the project was connected old and new and so they did.

The industrial space with a high ceilings speaks for itself and even without the décor details can bring you to the times of old shipyards. Through the small entrance you get into the spacious main dining space. Illustrated with an array of details and décor that collectively work together, a distinctive atmosphere is created.
Lacquered surfaces with its earth-tone tableware are like finishing touches for the overall look. As well vintage details such as the reclaimed Swedish school desks, and theater chairs can be seen along the middle dining section. The highlights of the space can be called the collection of hanging boats, which give a nautical and marine references as fulfill the environment with a visual drama.
The wall is the restaurant are made from clad and a 5cm layer of absorbents for acoustics and underfloor heating for the colder months. The glass façade faces towards the slowly regenerating shipyard and during the winter, when the country has little sunlight, an inner white layer hides the glass.
Walking through a hidden timber-paneled door, you can find another space that include the fine dining room. The space is connected to the open kitchen which is wrapped in slatted oak panels. On the other floor you can find the club room. This space favor the visitors with the more quiet and intimate atmosphere available for private hiring. And here is where the true Scandinavian interior can be noticed. Paired with teal paneled walls, bespoke timber tiling and Arne Jacobsen chairs, the interior can be called the real example of Nordic design.
