New York’s Design Project Shows Off Stark Textile Designs Beauty – With 29 years, Chad Stark is the senior vice president the New York-based fabric-and-rug empire that his grandparents founded eight decades ago, as well as the president of Scalamandré, a blue-chip American textiles brand that merged with Stark in 2017.

With the help of Sasha Bikoff, the senior vice-president of Stark textile designs brand and president of Scalamandré, Chad Stark, decorated a stylish New York City apartment. This incredible design project really showcases the essence of one of the brand’s best fabric designs.

For his first apartment renovation project, called a renowned interior designer that help him create a stunning contemporary interior design inspired by the first textile patterns introduced by his company!
Located in Manhattan’s East Village, the textile entrepreneur wanted to create a unique design project that not only would reflect his dynamic personality, but also enhanced the fabrics, rugs, and unique wall coverings from the brand’s first collections. The luxurious Le Tigre silk velvet from Scalamandré’s Collection was used not only in some bespoke pillows for the living room decor but also in unique upholstered bowtie-shaped vintage dining chairs

Chad Stark wanted to incorporate high family’s fabric history in a contemporary style apartment so that everyone that would step inside this incredible project would understand the history behind the renowned, Stark textile designs. Scalamandré’s famous Zebras pattern was given a brand new look in the bright blue color and was incorporated on the foyer walls.
In order to capture the essence of the unique textile collection, Bikoff and Stark did research through the Stark textile designs history archives where they could find the most inspirational design ideas for this New York City apartment.
The contemporary bedroom decor features hand-carved Indonesian wood doors, as well as an antique oil painting of a hunting dog above the headboard of the bespoke bed (which features some unique fabrics from Stark Textile Designs) that truly shows another of Chad’s main passions. “If there’s anything I like more than carpets, fabrics, and skiing, it’s dogs”, he says
